What is Depths?

Depths allows its users to save their favourite sites (one or multiple) at a time and organise them in different workspaces. For example, if you are learning about React and have to use articles, videos or documentations, depths allows you to save them in one space and display them as Cards.

Why bringing this webApp to life?

Depths came up as a revamp to Savvy a Flutter app whose aim was to help users get back to their resources (articles, podcast, etc...) and actually finish them. The main ideas behind Depths were to improve and organise people's online learning.

My Contribution

I was one of the frontend developers responsible for implementing the UI components(Sidebar, Cards, etc...) of the app. I joined the company at the very initial phase and participated in the brainstorming, user interview and development later eventually.

We worked in an agile way and broke up the development into sprints. We would work remotely and meet once or twice a week for merging code or if any of us had trouble solving a certain issue.

My Learning

I witnessed how a startup is run. The first thing that I got to understand was the process behind taking an idea from just a concept to a product. The two CEOs of Depths were already on their 2 or 3 startup and they taught me a lot but mainly how to be adaptable with change.

I improved my React skills. I built up my experience collaborating in a team on a React based framework and some core fundamentals from agile methodologies.
